I also agree that Mr. ______ is going to be defeated. I think that he is going to be one character that does not change because he is so bull-headed. Everyone else is going to go through a life change, but I think that he is going to be responsible for his own downfall. He is a very mysterious man that does things that are out of character. I didn't expect him to kick Nettie out either.

I definitely agree that your quote is very strange. You can tell that Celie's life is running her down. It is not normal for a teenager to want to die. All of the beatings and work is way too much for someone her age.
